Police Search For Witnesses To Fatal Car Accident

Some Texas accidents are more of a challenge for law enforcement officials than others. In some cases, the scene of a car accident does not reveal how it occurred or what factors may have led to it. Therefore, police will often ask for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward to assist in the investigation.

In a recent crash involving two vehicles, police in one Texas city are searching for anyone who may have seen the crash. It took place at one of the city’s intersections. Upon arrival at the scene, emergency personnel discovered that one of the drivers, a 64-year-old woman, had succumbed to the injuries she suffered in the impact.

The passenger in her vehicle was barely alive, and emergency medical personnel rushed her to a hospital in the area. Tragically, medical personnel was unable to save her life. Shortly after the accident, she was pronounced dead.

No information was given regarding the occupants of the second vehicle involved in the crash. Police report that the accident occurred at approximately 6:25 p.m. on Oct. 10 at the intersection of Harrell Parkway and East Palm Valley Boulevard. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Round Rock Police Department’s non-emergency line.

The family of the deceased driver and the driver of the other vehicle may benefit from gaining an understanding of their rights and responsibilities in connection with this fatal car accident. The party or parties deemed responsible could be held liable for the wreck, depending on the outcome of the investigation. Even if no criminal charges are filed, the victims and/or their families could file civil actions. If negligence is proved, an award of damages could be made by the court to help with the financial burdens that typically accompany such tragedies.
